Drew DeVault @sir

The more I hear about a programming langauge, the less interested I am in it. Sexy programming languages are worse than boring programming langauges, sexiness is an indicator of immaturity

C and Go are good, and they're infrequently in the news because they're stable as fuck

@sir I think thog @thog wanted to say that the binaries aren't unstables

@Technowix @sir yeah but you know I'm the type of guys that would say that C is sexy and stable

@ky0ko @Technowix @thog C isn't really sexy imo, but C code can be sexy

@sn0w @Technowix @xj @thog @sir C is a transgirl and its writers just didn't know how to portray that properly >:( >:( >:(

@ky0ko @sir @thog @xj @Technowix oooh so that's why they named it SIGTRAP and not SIGBREAK or sth.

Now it all makes sense :whoa:

@sir I have fun playing around with languages, especially unsatble and unproven ones because I find it fun.

If I was building a company I wouldn't use an immature language lightly.

@kurisu I find the software I'm working on more interesting than the language I'm writing it in, I don't really care about novel programming langauges (but I like programming languages which remove features found in other langs)

@sir well I'm pretty clearly the opposite of that

@kurisu @sir hehe I clearly like both types because each of those approaches has benefits and sometimes the one sometimes the other fits better

@steelman @angristan Go is not as stable as C, but it's more stable than most. Its updates are pretty conservative and infrequent

@sir +1 to bad we dont live near, we will be good friends :D
