all the personalization is done clientside, and no private data is sent from the browser to the pocket service.

@sir hmm... yeah, they can model behaviour of users who have telemetry enabled. And they can categorize them, and let the advertisers choose which category they want to show their ads to. But they have no way of ensuring that an ad is shown to users in the category it was meant for, from what I understand.
